BlownAway offers you the opportunity to try before buy. Come and have a play and see if it is your thing. When the time comes, you have a choice of blokart construction and sails:
Pro
The Pro has a full polished stainless steel construction - a real stunning piece of engineering. The big advantage here is its corrosion resistance. Stainless steel's resistance to salt attack ensures that a Pro blokart will retain its great looks and value even after years on the beach.
Sport
The Sport's powder coated steel construction is slightly heavier and stiffer than the Pro. Being steel based be sure to wash off all salt and sand after running on the beach. There will be no problems if you look after it. From a racing point of view it does not appear that there is any performance difference between the two models.
Sails
There is the choice of three sail sizes in five colours. Sail sizes are measured according to their area in square metres. Buying a blokart with either a 3m or a 4m sail, or as a package with both are the standard purchase options. The price varies accordingly. We use the 4m sail around 75% of the time so this is the most important sail to own. The 3m sail is a far better sail in high winds. It is faster and much easier to handle. It is also the better sail for younger and lighter people - they will get along fine without the extra grunt and will find it much easier to control. There is also a 2m sail for kids and storm conditions.
Sails can be bought individually in three different stages:
Stage 1 - Sail comes with battens and a sail bag only.
Stage 2 - Sail comes with complete with battens, boom, pulley whip, sheet rope and sail bag. The 4m sail also includes an extra mast section.
Stage 3 - Complete sail and mast.
