Planning a day out with family and friends?
BlownAway provides unique activities with broad appeal, catering for anyone with a wish to have fun - from tiny tots and bubbly teenagers, to mums on a well-deserved day off or nana and poppa celebrating their retirement.
The four activities on offer cater for all levels of aptitude and lust for adventure. If you are after a cruisy, fun afternoon playing in the sun, try our introduction to Kiting or a session on our blokarts! Our small trainer kites can be used safely by anyone who weighs at least 15kgs, and the blokart (with the side-kart option) can accommodate even the smallest of thrill-seekers. Neither activity requires any previous knowledge, as full instruction will be given. There are almost no physical limits here - we have had paraplegics or children with cerebral palsy, mature people recovering from surgery, all having a brilliant time.
If you are keen to get wet, try your hand at windsurfing - an activity that is guaranteed to get many laughs, and may create another Olympic Gold Medallist! Windsurfing is best suited to children from about five to seven years of age. Although it is slightly more demanding physically than our two land-based activities, anyone who is confident in the water and of reasonable health can give it a go. You will be surprised by how quickly you learn.
Finally, for a more sedate on-water experience, nothing beats the new Katalysts, small, nimble catamarans that are just as easy to sail as the blokart. These can be shared by two people and are ideal for family outings.
BlownAway can organise events for any occasion from birthday parties to hen's nights, accommodating groups up to 36 people when activities are combined. Our certified, experienced instructors will make sure that everybody has a great time while trying out a new skill.
